Gun Panther Dylan Edwards’ emphatic call as NRL rivals circle Clive Churchill Medal winner

Gun Penrith fullback Dylan Edwards has made it clear he wants to spend his entire NRL career as a Panther, allaying fears he could be headed for the exit amid the club’s salary-cap squeeze.

Apisai Koroisau, Viliame Kikau, Kurt Capewell and Stephen Crichton are among the long list of stars who’ve either left the Panthers or are set to because their value has sky-rocketed amid the club’s incredible NRL success in recent years.

Edwards will be allowed to field offers from rivals from November 1 because his contract is due to expire at the end of 2024.

But going by comments the reigning Clive Churchill Medal winner made on Wednesday, he won’t be going anywhere.

“This is home … You want to have success, you want to be happy playing footy and you want to enjoy who you’re playing football with,” Edwards said as rivals circle.

“Obviously I love playing here and this is home for me … It’s all I’ve ever known, really.”
