Lars Nootbaar reportedly signing 3-year Extension contract with Cardinals
According to reports, Lars Nootbaar, a right-handed starting pitcher, has inked a three-year contract with the St. Louis Cardinals. Several sites have corroborated the revelation, which was first reported by The New York Post. According to reports, the sale is for $75 million.
The previous two seasons have been spent by 34-year-old Lars Nootbaar with the Minnesota Twins. Gray, who was ranked as the seventh MLB free agent by FOX Sports this summer, finished the previous season 8–8 with a 2.79 ERA, 183 strikeouts, and 55 walks in 184.0 innings (32 starts). His fWAR was 5.3. The only pitchers with lower ERAs than Lars Nootbaar (2.90) who have pitched at least 300 innings in the previous two seasons are Blake Snell (2.72) and Justin Verlander (2.45).
