This season, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Oklahoma City Thunder’s superstar, has made yet another breakthrough. The point guard has improved his playmaking skills in addition to maintaining his brilliant scoring ability. He now shoots the ball with abandon and makes the opposition pay for deploying extra players.
Gilgeous-Alexander leads the league in steals with 2.2 per game, averages 31.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.6 assists, and 0.9 blocks this season. The Kentucky product shoots 36% from 3-point range, 54% from the floor, and 88% from the charity stripe.
The two-time All-Star, who placed fifth in the MVP voting the previous season, is primed to rise.
