LeBron James’ $51.4 million player option, which he may or may not select in the summer, casts doubt on his future with the Los Angeles Lakers, but co-star Anthony Davis knows one thing for sure.
Whatever James does with his player option, they will play together this summer.
Davis declared his intention to represent Team USA.
Davis joked, “I want to make a cameo,” but on February 17, during his NBA All-Star media availability, he turned serious. “No, I told the USA committee that I would go if they asked.”
With no assurance that James would be around, the 30-year-old Davis is prepared to take a chance on an injury and give up offseason relaxation as he starts the upcoming campaign.
