Breaking news:he is not qualified to play in Canterbury bulldogs for……

The Bulldogs are reportedly set to re-sign front rower Max King, fending off rivals to secure his signature.

According to WWOS, the 26-year-old has signed a three-year deal to remain at Belmore for seasons to come, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.

King was reportedly a target of multiple NRL clubs due to a shortage of middle forwards across the competition.

His current contract expires at the end of the 2024 season, meaning he was free to negotiate with rivals but instead has decided to stay at the Dogs.

“We are keen to keep Max – he’s a great kid and been very good for us,” Phil Gould said.

The Bulldogs have bid farewell to Raymond Faitala-Mariner this off-season, meanwhile Ryan Sutton will also be sidelined for the start of the season.

Gould has also recruited Zane Tetevano, Poasa Faamausili and Daniel Suluka-Fifita in the front row this off-season.

However, King is set to remain as the club’s spearhead prop for years to come and has been named to start against the Eels.

Zac Fulton, grandson of Manly legend Bob, is set to leave the Sea Eagles effective immediately to link up with UK club Bradford.

Fulton is the son of former recruitment manager Scott, who was controversially sacked from that role with the Tigers earlier in the year.

Scott had been the recruitment manager at the Sea Eagles before making an immediate switch to the Tigers in mid-2023.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Zac Fulton’s one-year deal is yet to be finalised, but the news has already been released by Bradford in the form of a club statement.
