Ivan Cleary was suspended due to suspicious activity……
With just a fortnight remaining in the NRL regular season, there’s still plenty to play for across the competition and some major team selection decisions to be made.
Following a dramatic weekend, there are now three teams locked on 28 competition points – Roosters, Cowboys and Rabbitohs – while the Knights and Raiders are just ahead and still in danger of missing the finals.
The Roosters have finally welcomed back Sam Walker but will have to do without their skipper James Tedesco, while veteran Brisbane halfback Adam Reynolds will miss at least one game due to a calf injury.
The Cowboys have been hit with another injury to their star backrower, while the Raiders will be sweating on the fitness of a number of key stars.
Andrew Webster has stuck solid with the same 17 which beat the Sea Eagles last week, although Josh Curran starts on an edge with Jackson Ford dropping to the bench.
Mitchell Barnett (knee) and Jazz Tevaga (hamstring) remain sidelined. Although there is good news on the injury front for the Warriors with Te Maire Martin included in the extended squad.
However, the playmaker will have to wait at least another week to make his first appearance in the NRL since Round 6 after he was cut from the side 24 hours before kickoff.
