    After sustaining an elbow to the head during the Crimson Tide’s victory over Grand Canyon on Sunday, guard Latrell Wrightsell of Alabama is anticipated to play in Thursday’s Sweet 16 matchup against No. 1 seed North Carolina, according to head coach Nate Oats.

    “On Thursday, Wrightsell will be able to play with us,” Oats stated in his press conference following the game. He suffered a head elbow. suffered a head wound. He hasn’t had much luck lately, but on Thursday, we’ll be playing again, and he can play with us again.

    Oats only mentioned Wrightsell’s head injuries without going into greater detail.

    Wrigthsell was struck in the head during Alabama’s victory over Charleston on Friday, which caused him to miss four games earlier in the season. He did not practice on Saturday.

    Oats anticipates that Wrightsell will be prepared to play after a few days off before a game in Los Angeles on Thursday.

    Wrightsell played against Grand Canyon for 11 minutes and finished with two points. After seeing Wrightsell in the locker room at halftime, his teammates decided to win the game in his honor.

    Indeed, they did.

    This season, Wrightsell is scoring 9.3 points per contest on average.
