Wren Baker, the athletic director for West Virginia, encouraged supporters of the football team to join Country Roads Trust before the team’s December bowl matchup with North Carolina. He would be willing to get coated in mayo if the membership count reached 1,500 or more before to kickoff.
It did occur, and Baker keeps his word.
Baker received the eagerly anticipated Mayo dump on WVU’s annual day of giving, which contributed to the $855,075 fundraising effort for WVU Medicine Children’s.
Nine football players from West Virginia’s 2023 squad will be among the 137 prospective NFL prospects exhibiting their abilities at the first-ever Big 12 Pro Day later this month.
The NFL and the Big 12 have joined together to put the event together in an attempt to “maximize the prospect experience.” The NFL’s official real-time location solutions provider, Zebra Technologies, will measure player performance at the event, and the conference will also work with official NFL Combine training partner NoBull to provide gear for the athletes taking part in the Pro Day.
Wide receiver Devin Carter, tight end Noah Massey, offensive linemen Zach Frazier and Doug Nester, defensive lineman Davoan Hawkins, linebacker Lee Kpogba, and defensive backs Beanie Bishop Jr., Marcis Floyd, and Malachi Ruffin are among the players from WVU’s football program that will be performing on the field.
From March 27 to March 31, the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, will host the Pro Day.
