Nebraska has locked in an official visit with a talented pass catcher from Missouri.
2025 Christian Brothers (Mo.) wide receiver Corey Simms will officially visit Nebraska the weekend of June 14-16, he announced.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Simms is a three-star prospect according to 247Sports and the No. 45 wide receiver in the country.
Last season, Simms caught 79 passes for 1,049 yards and 12 touchdowns last season as a junior.
In addition to the visit to Nebraska, Simms has also locked in trips to USC and Missouri in June.
Simms was among the visits Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule and the Nebraska offensive staff made in January ahead of National Signing Day.
Amid the push for bowl eligibility last November, the Huskers had to consider how certain decisions could better the long term even if connected to momentary challenges in the shorter view.
Granted, it would be a leap to say playing James Williams against Iowa definitely gives you that one pass rushing play that turns that game. Although, you never know. And Marques Buford Jr. told us last week Nebraska definitely made the right call by not bringing him back any earlier than it did as he worked back from injury. Jaidyn Doss could’ve given one more option at receiver the last three games but it would’ve blown a redshirt for perhaps just a handful of snaps.
