Former Texas Longhorns tight end Amari Niblack has committed to Texas A&M for the 2025 season. Niblack, who began his collegiate career at Alabama, transferred to Texas in 2024, where he appeared in nine games, recording five receptions for 33 yards. Seeking increased playing time and a more prominent role, he entered the transfer portal again and has now joined the Aggies.
At Alabama, Niblack showcased his potential in 2023 by starting four of 14 games and accumulating 20 receptions for 327 yards and four touchdowns. His move to Texas A&M aims to bolster the Aggies’ tight end position, especially with the departure of 2024 starter Tre Watson due to graduation. Niblack’s experience and versatility are expected to be valuable assets for Texas A&M’s offense in the upcoming season.
