The Philadelphia Eagles absolutely dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX Sunday night. Eagles were led byJalen Hurts in their 40-22 victory in Super Bowl LIX and secured just their second Super Bowl ring in franchise history.
Mekhi Becton etched his name in Louisville football history and became a Super Bowl champion and joined a prestigious category. He is the first Louisville football player to win a Super Bowl and take home a ring since Tutu Atwell and Javian Hawkins back in 2022.
Becton story all started in Louisville, where he was an absolute beast on the offensive line and helped lead UofL dominant in the run game at the time.
“Just how hard Bobby Petrino was, especially dealing with that in my Freshman and Sophomore year that definitely helped me out once I got to the NFL.” Mekhi Becton stated in interview on media day.
However, Becton’s journey wasn’t straight forward and it took him many years to get to this point in his career, and his heartwarming story took over social media Sunday night.
Becton was caught on camera multiple times during the Eagles playoff run crying and showing emotion in head coach Nick Sirianni arms. Becton story helps show hard work pays off, and his drive and will to never quit is one of the best stories in all of the NFL.
