Jace Henderson, Director of Player Personnel, Development & Influence for the Nebraska women’s basketball team, has announced her resignation from the program. Henderson, who joined the Huskers as a graduate assistant manager in August 2022, was promoted to her current full-time role in July 2023.
During her tenure, Henderson played a pivotal role in the team’s recent successes. In the 2023-24 season, the Huskers achieved a 23-12 overall record and made a significant run in the Big Ten Tournament, culminating in their first championship game appearance since 2014. The team also secured a first-round victory in the NCAA Tournament against Texas A&M.
Head Coach Amy Williams expressed gratitude for Henderson’s contributions, stating, “Jace has been an integral part of our program’s growth and success. Her dedication to player development and her positive influence on and off the court will be greatly missed.”
Henderson’s background includes a standout collegiate career at the University of Montana, where she earned second-team All-Big Sky honors as a senior. She also served as an assistant coach for the Lady Griz before joining Nebraska’s staff.
The Nebraska athletic department has not yet announced plans for filling the vacancy left by Henderson’s departure.
