WIGAN – Wigan Warriors centre Jake Wardle has been hailed as a “key figure” in the club’s title charge by head coach Matt Peet, following a sensational start to the 2025 Betfred Super League season.
Wardle, 26, has lit up the early rounds of the competition with a string of eye-catching performances, playing a vital role in Wigan’s unbeaten start. His ability to break defensive lines, create space for teammates, and finish clinically has made him one of the most talked-about players in the league this year.
Having already crossed the try line multiple times in the opening fixtures, Wardle’s explosive pace and intelligent reading of the game have proven too much for opposition defences.
