In a move that has sent shockwaves through the world of college basketball, former Kentucky Wildcat and five-time NBA All-Star John Wall is making a triumphant return to his alma mater—this time, not as a player, but as the Associate Head Coach of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team.
The university confirmed the stunning hire early this morning, sparking celebration among fans, alumni, and current players. Wall, widely regarded as one of the most electric point guards in college basketball history, is expected to officially be introduced at a press conference and homecoming ceremony scheduled for Friday, July 19, at Rupp Arena.
