Crystal Palace may be facing a significant financial hurdle if they decide to pursue Pierre Sage this summer, with RC Lens reportedly in a strong position to demand substantial compensation for the highly-rated coach.
Speculation surrounding Sage’s future has continued to gather pace in recent weeks, with Palace among the clubs said to be monitoring developments closely. However, any move for the Frenchman is unlikely to come cheaply, given his contractual situation at Lens and the club’s determination to protect one of its most valuable assets.
The situation has prompted a strong reaction among Lens supporters, many of whom believe the club holds all the cards should interest from abroad become more concrete.
