Nottingham Forest-linked Serhou Guirassy has revealed he won’t close any doors ahead of a possible January move away from Stuttgart.
The striker has been linked with a move to the City Ground but Forest face competition from West Ham, Brentford, Crystal Palace and Bournemouth. Meanwhile, the Saudi Pro League are also eyeing him up.
German outlet BILD previously reported that a move in the new year “can’t be ruled out” as the 27-year-old continues to attract interest. It is believed he could be available for just £17.5million thanks to a clause in his contract.
Forest’s interest is not recent as Guirassy rejected a move to the City Ground in the summer. Explaining his decision, the striker said: “We have a good team, a good coach and incredible fans. We feel very comfortable as a family in Stuttgart. That’s why I decided to stay at VfB.”
However, he has not ruled out the possibility over a transfer move in the January window. Guirassy told The Guardian: “I cannot hide these things – everyone knows the Premier League is one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
“But at this time I don’t close any doors. There are some very big teams in Europe and it’s not focused only on the Premier League.
“At Stuttgart we have such a good team and everything is possible in football. If we can continue to be humble like we have been so far then we have a good chance.”
Guirassy has already broke records in the first few months of the Bundesliga season after joining from Rennes in the summer. He has bagged 14 goals in just eight league appearances
