After the first week of the season, Auburn’s Aden Holloway is the first recipient of the year to receive the SEC Freshman of the Week award, the league announced Monday.
Holloway played his first two college games after injuring his ankle in a preseason scrimmage against Furman.
He immediately made an impact.
He averaged 15 points in the first two games and 4.
5 assists off the bench in both games.
His assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.
00 is fifth best in the SEC.
In the game against Baylor, Holloway scored 19 points, including 4 3-pointers and 6 assists.
Holloway has proven to be an excellent shooter throughout the preseason – this was in his scouting report as a senior recruit for Auburn.
Holloway, a former McDonald’s All-American, is a five-star recruit coming out of high school.
