After leading Cleveland to a win over the Steelers on Sunday, you can expect rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson to continue to lead the offense if needed with Flacco in the backup role if needed. After joining the practice squad, the Browns have the option to promote Flacco up to three times before they must sign him to the active roster. Additionally, Flacco has not played football since Week 18 of last season when he was with the Jets. In 2022, the 38-year-old played in five games for New York, including leading a miraculous 13-point comeback against the Browns in Week 2. He finished the season with 1,051 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions. Of course, Flacco is best remembered for his time with Browns rival Baltimore, where he spent 11 years of his career and led the Ravens to a Super Bowl title in 2012. Flacco last played a full season in Baltimore in 2017. While Flacco’s impact on and off the field remains to be seen, adding a veteran leader to the Browns’ locker room could be beneficial, especially for Thompson-Robinson.
