Antonio Conte, the former manager of Tottenham Hotspur, has said that he regrets leaving Juventus and that he is looking forward to managing Roma or Napoli in the future.
Juventus was the first premier European team under Antonio Conte’s coaching. After stints at Arezzo, Bari, Atalanta, and Siena, he joined the Italian Serie A powerhouses in 2011.
From 2011 to 2014, Conte won three consecutive Italian Serie A titles while he was a member of Juventus. Prior to leaving the team in 2014 to take up the position of head coach of the Italy national football team, he also won one Supercoppa Italiana.
He chose to coach Tottenham Hotspur after having previously coached Chelsea and Inter Milan. He was there for one and a half seasons before deciding to leave after openly criticizing the players.
Antonio Conte hasn’t had a job since leaving the Premier League team last season, citing his desire to take time off.
He was recently approached by Napoli to become the team’s head coach, but he declined the position.
The 54-year-old Italian strategist acknowledged that Napoli had made approaches to him this season in an interview with Belve. He also disclosed that he got proposals from Saudi Arabian clubs.
Antonio Conte declared, “I’ve decided to say no to a huge proposal from Saudi.”
“I was sorry to leave Juventus after only three years.” One day, I’d like to try my hand at playing for Roma or Napoli, but I normally like to join near the end of the season.
