Bengals confident Sam Hubbard will “revert” back to form after postseason surgery

Sam Hubbard, a defensive end for the Bengals, wasn’t listed as injured during the last few weeks of the season, but he also wasn’t completely healthy.
Bengals’ Duke Tobin said Hubbard played injured at the end of the season and had surgery after the last game. Tobin didn’t say what was wrong with Hubbard, but he thinks he will be back to his old self when he comes back to play.
“He was a strong fighter who bravely faced difficult challenges, and because of him, we had a chance to win. ” That’s what Sam Hubbard is really focused on, Tobin said on the team’s website.
Hubbard didn’t play in a couple of games during the middle of the season, and by the end of the year, he had 58 tackles, six sacks, and two fumble recoveries. He has a contract with Cincinnati for two more years.
