Regarding cutting La’El Collins, Zac Taylor said, “It stinks, there’s never a great time to do that.”

La’El Collins, an offensive lineman with one year of experience, was released by the Bengals yesterday off the physically unable to perform list. Although he wasn’t pleased with the choice, Bengals coach Zac Taylor feels it was the best one for the group.
Telling Collins that he’d been released is never a fun time to do, and it stinks when you have to tell a person that, according to Taylor.
Collins played well with the Bengals after signing a contract last year, but in December, he suffered an ACL tear. Collins became the odd man out when the Bengals moved Jonah Williams to right tackle and added Orlando Brown to play left tackle this offseason.
It’s difficult. Nothing ever goes well. He put forth a lot of effort in his profession.
