Steph Curry pays homage to late Dejan Milojevic: It’s tough looking over at his chair

The Golden State Warriors paid tribute to Serbian

The Golden State Warriors dedicated their home game against the Atlanta Hawks to their late assistant coach, Dejan Milojevic.

Their players wore black shirts with the Serbian word “Brate” (“brother” in English) and unveiled a jersey patch featuring the coach’s initials in a heart, worn for the remainder of the season.

Steph Curry, leading the team with 25 points, paid a heartfelt tribute after the win, emphasizing that the victory was dedicated to “Deki.” Milojevic suffered a heart attack at a team dinner, leading to the postponement of the Warriors’ next two games.

“It was tough. Been a very long week for everybody in the organization,” Curry said.

“Understanding how we wanted to play, honor, tribute, and celebrate what he meant to our family. Having his family here, you know, giving them this reception from our fans.
