Michigan Wolverines news: A major departure from the transfer portal and a staff reorganisation

This past season, Sabb recorded 28 tackles and two interceptions for the Michigan football team. In the national championship game, he additionally made a crucial pass breakup.
Although Sabb wasn’t officially a starter for the Michigan Wolverines at safety, he was expected to play a more significant role this season and may have played a lot of snaps in a big nickel role. I was hoping to see that, but Sabb is going to pursue other opportunities with his talents.

Stephen Adegoke, the coach of the Houston Texas safeties, was reportedly hired by Michigan football on Wednesday to serve as the team’s secondary coach, replacing Steve Clinkscale.
But according to Sam Webb of the Michigan Insider, Adegoke will remain in the NFL rather than play for the Michigan Wolverines because of the strong push from Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans to stay.
Adegoke is a rising star in football, so this is a blow for Michigan. It would have been well-liked by the secondary players because he was a graduate assistant on the Michigan Wolverines coaching staff in 2021.
But done is done, I suppose. The defensive coordinator for Louisiana, Lamar Morgan, interviewed for the position as well. I still think he would be a great fit for the Wolverines, as I stated earlier this week. He was a play-caller at Vanderbilt and worked for Jesse Minter.
Sherrone Moore could not have made a mistake in my opinion. The news that Adegoke will remain in the NFL raises questions about whether Sabb’s exit had anything to do with Adegoke’s connections to the players, which may have been the decisive factor.
