Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love has struggled this season.
After a 2-1 start, the Packers have lost four straight games and Love hasn’t played well in those games.
If the slow start to football matches continues, will Jordan Love have to sit on the bench in place of rookie midfielder Sean Clifford?
They face the Los Angeles Rams this weekend, who are currently 3-5 on the year while the Green Bay Packers are 2-5 on the year, NBC’s Chris Simms talks about Love possibly being benched attributed to Clifford: “The inconsistency in the Packers’ offense.
It’s even more than I thought.
I’m wondering with them if they’re going to start talking or getting ready for Sean Clifford to go, “Hey, you might have to come here if we go through another half like we did yesterday when Jordan Love and the offense are so poor.
” .
” If Green Bay decides to trade Love for Clifford, the Packers will draft a quarterback in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Sean Clifford is a good backup, but he is 25 years old and Jordan Love is 24.
Clifford also doesn’t seem like a long answer, and it wouldn’t make much sense to pit him against Love.
Love has completed 57.
8% of his passes for 1,492 yards, 11 touchdowns and eight receiving touchdowns for Green Bay this season.
He also totaled 164 yards on 25 carries and two touchdowns.
Jordan Love averaged 6.
6 rushing yards per attempt.
No matter how well he plays, there is at least no chance of him being on the bench this season unless he gets injured.
Love was the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and general manager Brian Gutekunst traded him.
Was there ever any discussion between him and head coach Matt LaFleur about benching Love for Clifford?
Who knows, and if there are conversations it will probably be interesting and many Packers fans want to know what it’s all about.
However, fans can complain all they want about Love’s placement.
That won’t happen at least until this year and they’ve got to get over it.
