report :Can the Lions right the ship against the Saints this week?

I’m Ben Fawkes and welcome to my latest sports betting mailbag. I’ve been in the sports betting industry since 2010, and while I’m not a handicapper, I’ve learned a thing or two about gambling on the Lions over the last decade that I’d love to share with others.

I look forward to answering your sports betting questions about this week’s games. Feel free to DM me at @BFawkes22 on X to submit a question. I hope you enjoyed last week’s mailbag.

Don’t worry, Cathy, the sky isn’t falling. Remember, for how bad things have been for Lions fans, it must feel good that you’re worried about how they are going to look in the postseason, rather than commiserating another disappointing season.

The Lions haven’t been playing well for the last few weeks and the defense hasn’t performed against teams with good offenses (Baltimore, LA Chargers) and teams with mediocre or bad ones (Green Bay, Chicago). Jared Goff is also turning the ball over at a far more alarming rate than he was early in the season.

The good news is that Detroit is going to make the playoffs, surpass their win total of 9.5, and be a No. 3 seed at worst – but getting that No. 2 seed will be important for home-field advantage in the second round. We have confidence the Lions can get things worked out on both sides of the ball over the final six games of the regular season, starting against the Saints this week.

With the status of David Montgomery’s foot uncertain, will Jahmyr Gibbs’ role increase? Currently, the rookie’s rushing yards line is at 46.5 yards on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Head over to FanDuel and get $150 in bonus bets if you win your initial $5 NFL moneyline bet. On top of the $150, all customers get a profit boost every day.
