The South Sydney District Junior Rugby Football League has thrown the book at two teams who brawled at the end of the recent A-reserve grand final at Redfern with one player issued a life ban.
The Daily Telegraph has reported that five players were suspended in total after the wild fulltime fight that went viral around the country.
- One player was issued a life ban for their wild conduct in the decider between the Redfern All Blacks and Alexandria Rovers while another player will be forced to sit out of the game for two yearsThe remaining three players were banned for a total of 23 matches – two players receiving eight-match suspensions and the final player rubbed out for seven weeks.

With only 1:25 left and trailing by six points, Redfern tried a short kickoff in a desperate bid to regain possession. That led to a brawl, starting with the Redfern hooker getting sent off for his part in the mayhem.
The ensuing fight involved players from both teams, resulting in pending suspensions and a chaotic end to the match, as Rovers celebrated their first premiership win in more than 30 years.
