Adhel Tac, a 6-foot-5 forward from Grand Prairie, Texas, joined the South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team in January 2024. Her arrival added depth to the Gamecocks’ frontcourt, offering a glimpse of the team’s future talent.

Tac’s collegiate journey began at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), where she played 15 games in the 2023–24 season before transferring. At UTEP, she averaged 8.9 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, with impressive shooting percentages of 51.0% from the field and 53.8% from three-point range. Her performance included a career-high 22-point game against Portland.

After transferring to South Carolina, Tac spent the 2024–25 season as a redshirt freshman, recovering from a knee injury that had sidelined her during her time at UTEP. She made her active debut during the NCAA Tournament, scoring her first points in a game against Tennessee Tech on March 21, 2025. Her contribution was met with enthusiasm from fans, highlighting her potential impact on the team’s future.

Tac’s journey reflects resilience and adaptability, overcoming injuries and transitioning between programs. Her early contributions with South Carolina suggest a promising trajectory, and fans can anticipate her continued development in the upcoming seasons.
