Spartans Strengthen Frontcourt: Florida Atlantic Transfer Kaleb Glenn Commits to Michigan State, Bringing Versatility and Grit to East Lansing
EAST LANSING, Mich. — Michigan State basketball made a major addition to its frontcourt this week, landing a commitment from Florida Atlantic transfer Kaleb Glenn. The 6-foot-7 forward brings a unique blend of toughness, athleticism, and versatility that could provide an immediate boost to Tom Izzo’s squad for the 2025 season.
Glenn, a former four-star recruit out of Louisville, began his college career at the University of Louisville before transferring to Florida Atlantic, where he played a key role in their rotation this past season. Now, the rising junior is headed to East Lansing with two years of eligibility remaining and a clear mission — to help the Spartans compete at the top of the Big Ten.
“I chose Michigan State because of Coach Izzo’s legacy, the player development, and the opportunity to win big games,” Glenn said. “I’m ready to work and bring toughness every single day.”
Known for his high motor, rebounding prowess, and defensive flexibility, Glenn can guard multiple positions and operate effectively on both ends of the floor. At FAU, he averaged 7.2 points and 5.8 rebounds in just under 20 minutes per game, showcasing an efficient inside game and improved mid-range shooting.
His arrival addresses a key need for the Spartans, who are retooling after the departure of veteran forwards and looking to add depth and experience to a young roster. Glenn’s physicality and tenacity fit perfectly into Izzo’s hard-nosed style of play.
