It’s hard to know what St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong is going to do in a normal offseason. It’s even harder when his club misses the playoffs for the second straight time.

Fans have their opinions on how busy Armstrong will be this summer, from those who think he’ll perform major surgery on the roster to those who think he’ll largely be inactive because of the number of no-trade clauses.

Either way, there’s going to be plenty of intrigue leading up to the NHL Draft on June 28 and 29 in Las Vegas and free agency July 1.

Will Jordan Kyrou be traded? Will Pavel Buchnevich be dealt or re-signed? What about Torey Krug’s future after invoking his no-trade clause last summer to stay in St. Louis?

At this point, even Armstrong will have to wait to see how his roster decisions are impacted by trade talks, buyouts, etc.
