The 2025 football schedule is announced by Clemson…

    adminBy adminMarch 15, 2025No Comments3 Mins Read

Clemson University has officially released its football schedule for the 2025 season, featuring a robust lineup of both conference and non-conference opponents. The Tigers are set to host seven home games at Memorial Stadium, affectionately known as “Death Valley,” and will embark on five road games, including the season finale against in-state rival South Carolina.

    Non-Conference Highlights:

Season Opener vs. LSU (Aug. 30): Clemson kicks off the season at home against the LSU Tigers, marking a high-profile matchup between two storied programs.

Matchup vs. Troy (Sept. 6): The Tigers continue their home stand facing the Troy Trojans, aiming to maintain dominance against non-Power Five opponents.

Game vs. Furman (Nov. 22): As part of their tradition, Clemson will host in-state FCS opponent Furman, reflecting their scheduling philosophy of facing two Power Five teams, a Group of Five team, and an in-state FCS squad.

Palmetto Bowl at South Carolina (Nov. 29): The regular season concludes with the annual Palmetto Bowl against the South Carolina Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, renewing one of college football’s fiercest rivalries.

    ACC Conference Matchups:

    Road Games:

Georgia Tech (Sept. 13): Clemson’s first road test comes against the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta.

North Carolina (Oct. 4): The Tigers travel to Chapel Hill to face the Tar Heels, a team known for its offensive prowess.

Boston College (Oct. 11): A trip to Chestnut Hill pits Clemson against the Eagles, traditionally a challenging matchup.

Louisville (Nov. 14): In a rare Friday night game, the Tigers face the Cardinals, adding a unique twist to their schedule.

    Home Games:

Syracuse (Sept. 20): Clemson’s first ACC home game features the Orange, against whom they hold a 10-2 all-time record.

SMU (Oct. 18): The Tigers host the Mustangs, marking a notable non-conference clash mid-season.

Duke (Nov. 1): A home game against the Blue Devils, aiming to extend their winning streak in this series.

Florida State (Nov. 8): A pivotal matchup against the Seminoles, a rivalry that has significant implications in the ACC standings.

    Bye Weeks:

First Bye (Sept. 27): Following the Syracuse game, providing rest before back-to-back road games.

Second Bye (Oct. 25): Strategically placed before the final stretch of the season, offering the team a chance to recuperate.

Head Coach Dabo Swinney, entering his 18th year at the helm, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “Our 2025 schedule presents exciting challenges and opportunities. We’re eager to compete at the highest level and showcase Clemson football.”

With a blend of formidable non-conference opponents and traditional ACC rivals, the 2025 season promises to be both challenging and exhilarating for the Clemson Tigers and their fans.
