According to a source, Jaylen Brown, a standout player for the Boston Celtics, will participate in the 2024 NBA All-standout Slam Dunk Contest.
Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that Brown “likely” to take part in the dunk contests during the 2024 All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana,
before suiting up as an Eastern Conference reserve for Sunday’s big game. Jayson Tatum, a teammate, was selected as the East’s starter.
With Brown’s entry, the dunk competition will have an All-Star participant for the first time since Victor Oladipo in 2018. In the off-season, Brown inked a $304 million supermax deal extension with the Boston Celtics.
