🚨 Crystal Palace are reportedly considering a move for Senegal international Krepin Diatta, who is available on a free transfer this summer. With his ability to play at wing-back and winger, many believe he could be the perfect fit for Oliver Glasner’s system. 🦅🔥

Crystal Palace are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Senegal international Krepin Diatta on a free transfer this summer, with the versatile wide player emerging as a potential option for Oliver Glasner’s squad ahead of another demanding campaign.

With Palace preparing for life in Europe alongside their domestic commitments, recruitment remains a key focus at Selhurst Park. The club are expected to strengthen several areas of the squad, and Diatta’s availability without a transfer fee has naturally attracted interest from a number of clubs across Europe.

The 27-year-old is set to become a free agent following the expiration of his contract and could represent a low-risk opportunity for Palace as they look to add depth, experience and versatility to their ranks.

Diatta’s ability to operate in multiple positions across the right flank is believed to be one of the qualities that appeals most to Palace’s recruitment team. Comfortable as a right wing-back, winger or attacking midfielder, the Senegalese international would fit naturally into the tactical system that has brought considerable success under Glasner.

Since arriving at Selhurst Park, Glasner has favoured a system that relies heavily on energetic wing-backs capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch. The Austrian coach demands high-intensity pressing, intelligent movement and consistent attacking support from wide areas, making versatility a valuable asset.

Diatta has spent much of his career demonstrating exactly those qualities. Known for his pace, direct running and work ethic, he has built a reputation as a player capable of stretching defences while also fulfilling important defensive responsibilities.

The former Club Brugge player enjoyed significant success in Belgium before moving to France, where he continued to gain experience at a high level. His performances for Senegal have also highlighted his ability to compete on major stages, including international tournaments and World Cup qualification campaigns.

For Palace, a deal would make financial sense. With no transfer fee required, the club could strengthen an important position while preserving resources for other areas of the squad that may require more significant investment.

Competition for places on the right side of the team is expected to increase next season, particularly with Palace facing the prospect of competing across multiple competitions. Adding another experienced option could help maintain squad freshness throughout what promises to be a demanding schedule.

Supporters have already begun debating whether Diatta would represent a smart addition, with opinions divided over the potential move.

    “Good signing? ✍️”

That question is likely to remain a talking point among Palace fans in the coming weeks as speculation continues to gather pace.

While no agreement has yet been reached and discussions remain at an early stage, Diatta’s profile appears to align closely with the type of player Palace have targeted successfully in recent seasons. His versatility, experience and availability on a free transfer could make him an attractive proposition as the Eagles continue their preparations for another ambitious campaign under Glasner.

Whether the interest develops into a formal offer remains to be seen, but Diatta is certainly a name worth watching as Palace shape their squad for the challenges ahead.
