Itand#039;s been a tough start to the season for Coventry City , finding themselves in 20th place in the Championship, just five points above the relegation zone.
The Sky Blues travel to London on Saturday to take on Millwall who find themselves in 15th place in the Championship table. Itand#039;s proved a difficult season so far for Sky Blues, who came within a lost penalty shoot-out of the Premier League last season and would have had high expectations going into this campaign.
Theyand#039;ve won just 3 games so far this season and had lost four consecutive games before their stalemate with Stoke City last time out. The Sky Blues will be looking for their first win since October 4th when they travel south this weekend.
Here and how they might line up… Collins made his first start of the season in Coventry’s last match against Stoke City. Heand#039;s had to compete this season with Ben Collins, who starts for Sky Bluesand#039; First 15 games but the former Barnsley man kept a clean sheet last time out on his league debut so we could see him again this weekend.
Another former Barnsley man, Kitching, made his sixth appearance of the campaign last time out and kept a clean sheet. After three consecutive starts, it is no surprise to see the summer players inserted into the starting line-up, as the Sky Blues have mainly opted for a 3-4-1-2 formation this season.
McFadzean, 36, missed last time out due to a family bereavement but is available again this weekend. It would not be a surprise if Coventry started 3 centre-backs on Saturday due to the availability of McFadzean and #039; Thomas, 22, has started 13 games for Coventryand#039 this season and is likely to start this weekend after a strong defensive performance against Stoke before the international break.
Eccles, 23, has been a mainstay for Coventry this season, starting 15 games and making one substitute appearance. He returned to the squad for the Stoke game after being dropped from the previous game against Preston. It will probably start again this weekend. Sheaf started Sky Blue Sand#039; the last 5 games and will likely retain his starting spot again this weekend. Bidwell started the season at left tackle. A change in formation could see him play on the left wing this weekend.
Like Bidwell, Latibeaudiere last operated as a right-back, but a change in formation could see him deployed as a wing-back. The Jamaican international has plenty of Championship experience in that role and could feature in this weekend’s games and match.
It was a close call between Allen and the returning Callum Oand#039;Hare, but with Oand#039;Hare recovering from injury, it is likely that Allen will regain his starting place. Godden started 14 Sky blue sand#039; 16 league starts this season and last wore the captain’s armband against Stoke. Heand is likely to regain his place as he looks to add to his tally of five league goals this season.
American striker Wright has scored 4 league goals in 16 games this season, enough to favor him over Ellis Simms. It’s likely that Wright will get the nod again this weekend.
