father try to single-handedly protect his grown son as he slowly realizes that he is athletically obsolete. Tatum also used his game as a tool to break up smaller matchups, taking guys like Malik Beasley, Marjon Beauchamp and Andre Jackson Jr. to and from the church. Whatever illness he had didn’t seem to bother him too much, at least for the first three quarters. But I guess the flu shot won’t last forever because there were points in the fourth quarter where he looked ready to strike. At one point, he stepped into a retractable triangle and missed the entire rim, the equivalent of Jayson and Tatum saying he wanted to go home. But that’s the story of blockbusters: things just don’t work out. The Celtics were up 19 minutes with 10 minutes left in the game at the time of the disaster.
The rim was covered, the Celtics started hanging around and the Bucks started hitting shots. Dame Time began and Lillard warmed up. It was a disaster and I could feel the pressure closing. It was the part of the movie where you think the hero defeated the final boss, but no, they’re still alive! Middleton and Lillard ran down and hit two straight threes to send the Celtics back to DEFCON 1. Up by just three and looking down on the most important possession of the game, Tatum demanded the ball and told everyone to get out of the way. I defended Giannis’ help-defense IQ in the last clip, but I have no idea what he’s doing here. For some reason, he threw Tatum straight out of the way, apparently worried about the possibility of the rock completely covering Al Horford. He looked like a playboy just trying to go out and not look stupid.
The game ended with a pair of routine free throws, and Tatum and Brown made it home after surviving the ordeal. Kristaps Porzingis flashed a big smile as the team drove in
