According to The Coventry Telegraph, the Sky Blues are in talks with the Gunners over a transfer for defensive midfielder Ben Sheaf.
They made a six-figure bid for the talented youngster after he impressed on loan at Doncaster Rovers. The 22-year-old has started an excellent campaign, making 32 league appearances and playing 2,523 minutes.
According to the report, Sheaf is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans, so the Gunners are ready to move him.
Ben is a midfielder by profession, but thanks to his versatility he can also play in defence. Sheaf only made 2 senior cup appearances in the 2017/18 season.
