‘He’s going to say no and I will say yes’ – Rob McElhenney ready to disagree with Ryan Reynolds over plans for Wrexham if team win promotion from League One in 2024-25
Wrexham jetted off to Las Vegas for a second season in a row earlier this month after securing back-to-back promotions.
After heading back to the English Football League at the end of the 2022/23 season, the Red Dragons secured yet another promotion this season after they finished second in League Two. Just like last year, club owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney funded a trip to Las Vegas for the Wrexham squad earlier this month.
Now that the team are back from their trip to the famous city, McElhenney has promised that the Welsh club will return to Vegas for a third summer in a row if they manage to get promoted from League One.
Speaking on Hulu, the Hollywood star said, “I just got back from Las Vegas where we did it for the second time and if they get promoted again, we promised them that they will be sent to Vegas again. Much to chagrin of my co-chairman. So if you see Ryan, I don’t know if Ryan has come by yet but he is going to say no and I am going to say yes.”
