Fans want action as Piers Morgan shares private message from Susanna Reid after he called out his ‘work wife’
The pair hosted Good Morning Britain together for years until Piers’ dramatic exit
Piers Morgan has exposed a private text sent to him by Susanna Reid after he called out his ‘TV wife’ after their ‘sudden divorce’. The presenters hosted Good Morning Britain together for almost five years before the partnership came to an abrupt end.
It’s well documented that Piers’ exit on the ITV news programme came after he received a huge backlash to comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex following her explosive, tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey
Then, on the following day’s episode of GMB back in March 2021, Piers became embroiled in a heated debate after he refused to believe claims made by Meghan Markle. The show’s weatherman Alex Beresford confronted Piers over his comments about the Duchess of Sussex and the row, in which Alex told Piers his behaviour towards Meghan was ‘absolutely diabolical’, caused Piers to storm off the set.Hours later, his exit from the ITV news programme was announced and the controversial journalist and presenter marked the anniversary of his storm-out on the ITV news programme last month.
Piers has now said his departure from ITV over comments about the Duchess of Sussex was a “farce” as he prepares to launch fledgling news channel TalkTV. The channel will launch with shows from Piers, Sharon Osbourne, and Tom Newton Dunn on Monday, April 25.
But in the lead up to the launch, the 57-year-old has also commented on his relationship with his former GMB co-host Susanna. Speaking to The Sun, Piers said that his former “work wife” was yet to wish him luck. “There’s still time, I’m sure she will,” he said.

And then we suddenly got divorced one afternoon. That was it. So we stay in touch through texting and stuff but it was all a bit dramatic and sad.”
And it seems Susanna got the message as Piers shared a screenshot of the WhatsApp message she had sent him on Twitter. Alongside it, Piers wrote: “BREAKING NEWS,” as the message simply read: “Good luck.”
Susanna then retweeted Piers’ tweet to her own hundreds of thousands of followers but didn’t comment any further. However, that appeared to be of no interest to Pier’s followers as they quickly spotted something else they quickly wanted the answer to.
