    Lamb Dominates with 14 Kills, Leads No. 13 Kentucky to Victory over Georgia

    LEXINGTON, Ky.
    – The No.
    13 Kentucky volleyball team had a dominant performance, defeating Georgia 3-0 in front of more than 3,900 spectators at Rupp Arena.
    Erin Lamb led the offense with 14 kills and an impressive .
    480 hitting percentage.
    The win marked Kentucky’s sixth win in the RPI top 50 and extended their winning streak to 12 consecutive games.
    The Wildcats came out with intensity, comfortably winning the first set 25-13.
    They maintained a remarkable completion rate of 0.
    593 and a secondary conversion rate of 71%.
    After falling behind early in the second set, Kentucky fought back to tie the score at 19-19, taking control and ending the set 25-23.
    In the third set, they never trailed, winning 25-20 to seal the victory.
    With this win, Kentucky remains one game ahead of No.
    9 Arkansas in the Southeastern Conference standings.
    They are currently 15-7 overall and an impressive 13-1 in the SEC.
    In contrast, Georgia lost to 15-11 overall and 6-8 in the SEC.
    Brooklyn DeLeye, Erin Lamb and Reagan Rutherford led the way for Kentucky, each posting double-digit wins.
    DeLeye recorded 16 completions, Lamb contributed 14 kills and Rutherford scored 11 on 20 turnovers.
    Emma Grome controlled England’s offense with 43 assists, while Eleanor Beavin led the defense with nine digs.
    Azhani Tealer’s dominant play was evident, finishing the match with two solo tackles and five assists.
    Kentucky’s next challenge is against Texas A&M on Thursday in Lexington at Rupp Arena.
    They will aim to continue their winning streak and go 5-0 in November.
    The game is scheduled for 7 p.m.
    ET begins and will air on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app.
    The key moment of the match came in the second set when Azhani Tealer and Reagan Rutherford combined to make a crucial block to tie the score at 19-19 after leading the set.
    Additionally, Emma Grome was player of the match with 43 assists and one assist.
    Notably, Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center will be the primary venue for Kentucky’s gymnastics, volleyball and women’s basketball teams during the 2023-24 season, while Memorial Coliseum is being renovated.
