Crystal Palace have made their position clear during ongoing discussions with Chelsea over the proposed transfer of Maxence Lacroix, with the Eagles opting against several defenders offered by the west London club.

As part of those talks, Chelsea have explored different ways of structuring a deal that could ease the financial cost of bringing the French centre-back to Stamford Bridge.
