Rudolph left Sunday’s game in the third quarter after being knocked out cold by Baltimore Ravens’ safety Earl Thomas. Rudolph was escaping pressure and made a throw seconds before being hit by Thomas. Thomas’ helmet hit the chin of Rudolph, knocking him unconscious.

Pittsburgh Steelers’ Director of Communications, Burt Lauten, then released that Rudolph had left Heinz Field and was going to a hospital for further evaluation.

Mike Tomlin had no update on Rudolph’s condition following the game. The quarterback walked off the field with the assistance of teammates.

Devlin Hodges took over after Rudolph’s departure. Hodges went 7-9 for 68 yards in two quarters.
