Defender Ryan Andrews has signed a new long-term contract with Watford until the summer of 2028. The 19-year-old England Under-20 international only broke into the senior squad regularly at the end of last season when then manager Chris Wilder handed him his debut in a 2-2 draw with Coventry City. He made his debut for Reading in the FA Cup earlier in the campaign.

He signed his first professional contract with the club in May 2022 and now has four caps for England under-20s, the latest of which came in Germany’s 3-2 Elite League win at Regensberg on Monday.
