Victor Osimhen and Kelechi Iheanacho, two of Nigeria’s best forwards, are said to have left the Super Eagles’ camp early today, October 15.
The departure of Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Osimhen from the camp is scheduled to occur just hours before Nigeria plays Mozambique in an international friendly on Monday, October 15, at 4 p.m.
Remember that on Friday, Iheanacho and Osimhen participated in the friendly match between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria?
Osimhen was unable to score and had to leave the game at the 55th minute, although Iheanacho scored one of the goals in the 2-2 draw.
Super Eagles coach Jose Pasiero stated, “We’ll assess whether to send him back to Naples,” following the game. “He wasn’t at his best.”
“Since we constantly collaborate with the clubs, we ought to be treated with the same deference as their national teams. Every day, we communicate with every player.
The players’ physical condition is another one of our responsibilities. Osimhen is a terrific player, and both Napoli and we need him. Thus, everyone bears responsibility for it.
Victor Osimhen must leave the Super Eagles for a “precautionary measure on advice of the medical team,” per a post on the team’s official social media platforms.
The Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho, who is currently playing well, must leave the team’s camp to take care of “pressing personal issues.”
With Iheanacho, 27, and Osimhen, 24, out of the friendly match against Mozambique, the team’s attack might now revolve around Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface.
