“Why did Saquon Barkley decide to leave the Giants team today?” There are a number of reasons behind his decision.View additional…
Maybe the New York Giants will punctuate your Christmas Day with the gift of an upset victory over the heavily-favored and most definitely hated by the fan base Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe that is just fantasy, and the Eagles will snap their three-game losing streak by handing the Giants their 10th loss of the season.
Either way, it is Christmas and here’s hoping you have a great day that includes making memories with your loved ones.
I do have a question for you, though. As today is the day for giving and receiving gifts, what is the favorite Giants-themed gift you have ever received, or given? Why? Is there a story behind it?
Today is a great day to share those stories. So, please do.
Here is mine. As a kid, my father and I used to spend Sunday afternoons watching Giants games. At least until he got disgusted and went to putter around in the garage.
I don’t remember how old I was, but since Fran Tarkenton played for the Giants from 1966-1970 and I was born in 1960, I was less than 10 years old. Anyway, my parents bought me a complete No. 10 Fran Tarkenton New York Giants uniform. That baby had pants with thigh and knee pads, a jersey, shoulder pads and a helmet. Somewhere, I have a photo of me running around the den carrying a football with that uniform on.
That might be the most memorable Christmas gift I was given as a kid.
