news now:$58 million have been sign by thé…

CARDIFF City manager Erol Bulut admitted that he attempted to lure Cherries striker Kieffer Moore back to the Welsh capital this summer.

Throughout pre-season and until the closure of the summer transfer window, Moore was heavily linked to a return to the Cardiff City Stadium.

Throughout pre-season and until the closure of the summer transfer window, Moore was heavily linked to a return to the Cardiff City Stadium.

A loan move to Cardiff’s Championship rivals Millwall collapsed on deadline day, with Moore restricted to just five Premier League appearances this term – all from off the bench.

Since swapping south Wales for south England in January 2022, Moore has scored eight times in 41 appearances for Cherries, including the winner against Nottingham Forest that secured promotion back to the Premier League.

German-born Bulut was providing punditry for Wales’ game against Turkey for Turkish broadcaster TRT Spor on Tuesday evening, the crunch Euros qualifier staged at Cardiff’s home ground.

Speaking in Turkish, Bulut stated: “Kieffer Moore was a player I wanted to buy or loan at the start of the season and greatly admired.

“We (Turkey) need to pay special attention to the crosses. He’s tall and has very good feet.”

It is not the first time Bulut has discussed Moore, telling Turkish outlet AA in the build-up to Tuesday’s game: “Their striker, Kieffer Moore, plays for Bournemouth, he is tall.

“He also played in Cardiff before. He scored 20 goals in one season here and was transferred to Bournemouth.

“He is a good striker, he is tall, he can hide the ball well. Moore played against the Croatians – he also harassed the defenders a lot.”

Moore came off the bench as Wales drew 1-1 with Turkey, meaning Cymru’s final chance at qualifying for next summer’s Euros will come via the play-offs.

In total the 31-year-old has been capped 40 times by Wales, scoring 12 goals.
